Industrial Visit to Imperial Auto, Faridabad
On the 10th October 2016, the department of management studies organized an industrial visit for students of MBA to the Imperial Auto, situated in Faridabad, Haryana. 48 students from MBA 1st and 2nd year visited the company who were accompanied by two of the faculty members.
The visit started in the early hours of a working day and we reached at Imperial Auto around 12 PM by the college bus. The group was taken to the conference hall within the industry premises. A presentation about the company was shown to students to make them familiar about the company. Ms. Meenakshi Chauhan (Astt. Manager HR) took charge and guided the group to the plant and briefed up with the introduction about the plant as well as the number of production lines. She mentioned about every activity happening in the plant like making of fuel transmission pipes etc. Mr. Sanjeev (Manager HR) answered the queries of the students regarding HR policies of the company, marketing strategies and manufacturing processes.
The plant was partially automated. Students were amazed at the speed at which the process occurred and how the operation systems could work according to client requirements. The visit concluded by the afternoon. The industrial visit to Imperial Auto was an enriching experience for students in getting live exposure of manufacturing which can help them in their internships and further career enhancements.
